A Research Review of Islamic Ideology in the Education and Training of Youth According to Contemporary Values

Abstract

Analyzing the human history, one could find out that in every era, there have been institutions of education and training in the human life system through which humans learn and acquire knowledge and arts, and in today's era, a special name among them is the institutions with an educational system. Educational institutions have not only fulfilled the truths of the contemporary world but also of the Quran and Hadith, because it is obvious that the Quran and Hadith are eternal and irreplaceable truths. At the same time, it cannot be denied that the times are constantly changing. If we study the biography of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), we will see that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) taught his companions modern sciences, that is, those sciences that are needed at that time. The proof of which is still present in the history of Islam, as the Holy Prophet (PBUH) said regarding the acquisition of modern sciences: "Acquire the knowledge of astrology so that it will be easier to find routes by land and sea." With the advent of the teacher of humanity, Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him), and the blessings of his command, sciences and arts, philosophy, ideal civilization and history, and science and technology began, and the world entered a new era in terms of scientific, cultural, and intellectual development. The Muslim Ummah remained the world's leader in education, civilization, culture, science, and technology for many centuries. But today, the Ummah has not been able to achieve this status and dignity due to being lost in differences and is suffering from global domination.
