Abstract

The study will be analytically conducted with the aim of examining how ethical teachings in the Quran can impact on the field of social psychology and the importance of morality of individuals and the society. The paper starts by confirming that the Quran as the divine guide provides a holistic way not only to purify spiritually but also to reform the society particularly in the period of moral degradation, material fortune, and psychic instabilities. Such Quranic ethical principles like justice, compassion, truthfulness, patience, and brotherhood are examined in terms of their effects on psychological aspects of individual and collective conduct. By using multidisciplinary methodology that entails the use of Islamic sources and the contemporary psychological theories, the study shows how the values provided in the Quran facilitate positive psychological characteristics such as self-understanding, stability of emotion, empathetic, and tolerance. It points out that these moral principles remove stress, anxiety, social isolation, and anti social behavior leading to better interpersonal relationships and a peaceful society. The paper also examines the Quran in its focus on individual responsibility, family morals, inter-religion tolerance, media responsibility, and youthful direction, and how the messages apply to modern life issues like depression, family separation and social inequality. The case studies and the comparative observations have indicated that the societies that are based on the Quranic ethics have a greater degree of social cohesion and lesser degree of psychological disorders and crime. The results highlight the importance of the Quran as a spiritual manual and, at the same time, a means of psychological stability and social stability. Among the recommendations made are the need to incorporate ethical education in school curriculum, awareness through media, establishment of counseling centers which should be based on Islamic ethics and more comparative and long term research. The linking of Quranic ethics to the field of social psychology provides a good platform to deal with the current moral and psychological crisis and provides effective ways in which the divine ethics can be applied to create peace, justice, and overall mental health in the society.
