R.M Razi: A Forgotten Poet and Writer of Hyderabad
Abstract
One of the many theories of the origin of Urdu is the theory of Allama Syed Suleman Nadvi "Urdu in Sindh". Hyderabad has been the centre of the establishment of Pakistan, many poets and writers have emerged as a school of thought. Raza Muhammad Razi (1964-2018), commonly known as R.M Razi, is a forgotten poet and writer from Hyderabad (Sindh) school of thought. He was an enlightened and progressive person and poet. Along with being widely read, his temperament was also a characteristic of his nature. R.M Razi has composed Ghazals and poems as a poet. The progressive trend was dominant. The use of words and techniques was also the same as that found in progressive poets. In prose, he was the storyteller. He created children's literature. He has access to the English language. The benefit of this has come to light in the form of a translator from English to Urdu. In this direction, he has translated stories and translated them with such excellence that they seem to be creations. Razi launched two magazines "One-2" and "School Club" to fuel his passion. Although he published only a few issues, a glimpse of his editorial work can be seen in them. To fill the stomach of these magazines, his writings in poetry and prose are more prominent. It can be said about him that he was a born poet and writer who has been forgotten in mentions.
