Novel "Nadar Log" a statement of social conflict
Abstract
The novel “Nadar Log” written by Abdullah Hussain is considered a novel in Urdu literature in which the life of the downtrodden and deprived class of society is presented in a realistic manner. This novel mainly revolves around poverty, economic inequality and social injustice.
This novel features characters who are deprived of the basic amenities of life and constantly face economic problems, hunger, unemployment and social indifference. The author has shown various aspects of the life of these “Nadar Log” who, on the one hand, are victims of the rigors of the system and on the other hand, do not leave the path of hope and struggle. This novel includes topics such as poverty and economic exploitation, class differences and social inequality, human helplessness and deprivation, criticism of the social system, struggle and hope of the deprived class.
Realism has been given special importance in this novel. The characters are taken from ordinary life and the dialogues and events highlight social truth. The style is simple but effective, which directly affects the reader.
So "Nadar Log" is a novel that forces the reader to reflect on the plight of the deprived sections of society and highlights the importance of social justice.
