Abstract

This lab experiment investigated the impact of video messages, as part of an intervention, on students' knowledge and understanding regarding water resource conservation. The study involved 40 students from grades 6–10, who were divided into an experimental group and a control group. Students in the experimental group were shown specially selected videos designed to educate them on the importance of water resource conservation and responsible water use, whereas the control group did not receive this intervention. The changes in students' responses about saving water were analysed before and after the intervention. There was a significant difference between the results of the experimental and control groups, in which the experimental group showed positive responses after watching the saving videos. This study sheds light on the potential of a carefully designed audio-visual intervention to teach school students to use water responsibly and save water.
